Milk is always the same; it’s white, somewhat creamy, good for you, you can drink it at any time and it can give you the temporary (sorry gents) feeling of masculinity. Don’t know what I am talking about? Try drinking a glass of milk without opening your mouth wide enough and you’ll feel what it is like to have a milky mustache of your own.
Even though the above seems pretty correct, there is one big mistake that is made quite often. If you truly believe milk is always the same, keep reading! Milk is absolutely not always the same and it is really important to know where your milk came from and how it was made.
Let’s do a deep dive into the history of Holland Organics!
The journey of Holland Organics started in 1974, when the Van Rouwendaal family moved to their dairy farm in Leusden. For decades already, this dairy provides small villages and cities with milk and other dairy products. Once dad becomes too old and needs a little more rest during the day, his sons take over the hard work. A passion that has been lasting for generations, which is understandable: when doing what you love, years pass by fast.
One thing the Van Rouwendaal family has always been very passionate about is organic farming. The family felt the urge to differentiate themselves from other dairies and the family members all shared the respect and love towards people, the earth, animals and dairy products. Organic farming was a matter of course and as one of the first dairies, the Van Rouwendaal Family sold their organic milk in stores in Holland!
When demand outstripped supply, the Van Rouwendaal family decided to take things one step further; they expanded their business. Bigger, better, stronger! Don’t worry though, organic is still the most important aspect of the business! Anyway, this crucial decision made it possible to continue what the Van Rouwendaal Family does best: provide the rest of the world with the best milk possible.
Even though not everyone in this world has the chance to try this organic and super tasty milk jet(!), Holland Organics is trying its best to change this. Since 2016, we are selling the exact same organic milk in Singapore and Hong Kong as we sell in Holland. With a lot of help from the Van Rouwendaal family and extremely much help from their cows, you are able to take a sip of Holland!
Now that you have read our story, you will never ever again think all milk is the same. It is true, most milk is quite similar: made in big factories, cows have to eat all day in order to produce the right (very wrong in fact) amount of milk, lots and lots of things are added to it, double pasteurized to do some overkilling, etc. Things that make you extremely sad once you start paying close attention to it. Holland Organics stands out! It is the ‘not the same type of milk’, if we can put it like that. You will taste that right away!
